Quick Start

Installation Prerequisites

1. PBA 10.2 with Service Pack 1 (10.2.0.1) must be installed

2. User performing the installation must have Read / Write permissions to the BA Server plugin directories

3. External Users: The file pentaho-server.zip must be downloaded from HCP https://hcpanywhere.hitachivantara.com/u/1yLT67Ai09zFItPZ/f07bc0fe-b5a9-472c-ae10-de51c824ee18?l. This requires an Access Code. Reach out to Marine Lesnard (marine.lesnard@hitachivantara.com) for an Access Code.

4. Internal Users: You can access pentaho-server.zip from pentaho-server.zip

Installation Steps

1. Remove the following files from %PENTAHO_HOME%/server/pentaho-server/tomcat/webapps/pentaho/WEB-INF/lib

   1. kettle-engine-10.x.x.x-SNAPSHOT.jar

   2. kettle-ui-swt-10.x.x.x-SNAPSHOT.jar

2. Unzip the downloaded file pentaho-server.zip (in a convenient location outside of %PENTAHO-HOME%)

3. Navigate to %PENTAHO_HOME%/server

4. Paste the folder unzipped in Step 2 at this location. There will already be a pentaho-server folder. Pasting the unzipped folder (also pentaho-server) from Step 1 will overwrite / create the necessary files. On Mac, you will need to Merge the folder.

5. You will be prompted to overwrite existing files. Select “Replace the files in the destination”

6. Restart / Start Pentaho Server. All plugins should now be deployed. You can view further instruction for each plugin on the respective page:
