Installation Prerequisites

  1. You have deployed Pentaho using the archive installation approach before and are familiar with the process.

  2. You have deployed PDI Tools and Plugins (Spoon and plugins) before and are familiar with the process.

Installation Prerequisites

  1. Pentaho BA Server 10.3-QAT must be installed. The file for the archive install can be obtained from <Link>. Deploy this as you would any archive installation.

  2. User performing the installation of the additional plugins Ensure you have access to this folder: https://hcpanywhere.hitachivantara.com/u/uDgE9d84BMCqOATH/b10e84b7-d4a8-4f11-9e85-0f87f66cdce3?l. Please reach out to Marine Lesnard for access.

  3. Pentaho Server 10.3 installed. Use pentaho-server-ee-10.3.0.0-WEBTTLE-50.zip from the folder above.

  4. The following files downloaded from the folder above:

    1. pentaho-app-shell-core.zip

    2. pentaho-app-shell-home.zip

    3. pentaho-app-shell-browse-files.zip

    4. semantic-model-editor-plugin-assembly-10.2.0.2-762.zip

    5. webttle-plugins-ee-client-10.3.0.0-WEBTTLE-50.zip

  5. User performing the installation must have Read / Write permissions to the BA Server plugin directories

  6. Obtain the following BA server plugin files: <Link>

  7. Obtain the PDI Client zip file from <Link>

  1. Unzip the files downloaded in Step 3 above (list of files) into the %PENTAHO_HOME%/server/

  2. You will need to use a new License URL as we have introduced license validation for these features. Please reach out to Marine Lesnard for access.

Installation Steps

  1. Unzip webttle-plugins-ee-client-10.3.0.0-WEBTTLE-50.zip

  2. You should now have a folder pentaho-server

  3. Copy this pentaho-server folder to %PENTAHO_HOME% where %PENTAHO_HOME% is the location of your Pentaho Server 10.3 install (see #1 in Installation Prerequisites)

  4. You will be prompted to overwrite existing files (as there should already be a pentaho-server folder in %PENTAHO_HOME%). Select “Replace the files in the destination”

  1. This will deploy the Webttle plugin and update some of the core Pentaho Server Kettle and Tomcat files.

  2. Unzip the remaining files

    1. pentaho-app-shell-core.zip

    2. pentaho-app-shell-home.zip

    3. pentaho-app-shell-browse-files.zip

    4. semantic-model-editor-plugin-assembly-10.2.0.2-762.zip

  3. You should now have the following unzipped folders

    1. app-shell

    2. pas-home

    3. pas-browse-files

    4. semantic-model-editor

  4. Copy these folders to %PENTAHO_HOME%/pentaho-server/pentaho-solutions/system
