Pentaho hosts an online community meeting on the first and third Wednesday of each month. The meetings are intended to present a topic that is of interest to the Pentaho developer community and give members a chance to ask questions, provide feedback and discuss options.
The goal is to increase communication and collaboration between developers both internal to Pentaho and within the community. The format and content of the sessions will evolve over time. Please provide any feedback that will help make these sessions beneficial to you by responding to this thread on the forums.
Up Next: Ricardo Pires - Xpand IT FusionCharts Plug-in
Ricardo Pires, manager from the Xpand IT Business Intelligence Unit, will demonstrate their new platform plugin for rendering FusionCharts in the Pentaho BI Server. The plugin enables using FusionCharts as an alternative to the other charting libraries that are currently provided with the platform. It can be used to display charts on the user console and on CDF dashboards as well. This open source project supports both versions of FusionCharts, the free version which is also open source and the enterprise version.
Agenda
- Why adding a new chart library to Pentaho dashboards?
- How the plugin works? Development environment overview.
- How can you use it to create your own dashboards? Steb by step demo.
