The Pentaho BI Platform 3.0

The Pentaho BI Platform consists of a J2EE business intelligence Web application that includes elements of Pentaho Reporting and Pentaho Analysis. It is the central framework by which content created with the Pentaho BI Suite is published, stored, shared, and managed.

Documentation

This Wiki is a community resource, and is designed to be maintained by the Pentaho open source community. Enterprise Edition customers have access to thousands of pages of professionally written, tested, updated, and actively maintained BI Server documentation in XHTML format through the new Pentaho Knowledge Base, or in PDF format through the Help menus of some client tools. In addition to comprehensive guides, there are also support articles and tech tips available through the Knowledge Base.

For Pentaho Community Edition users, this Wiki and the Pentaho Forum are the two best resources for BI Server documentation and support. The below-listed articles were contributed by Pentaho employees and open source community members.

All registered users are able and encouraged to directly fix any errors and eliminate any omissions in this Wiki. Feel free to contribute information or instructions for any topic relating to the Pentaho BI Server, Metadata Editor, or Design Studio.
